Anatoly Khazanov
Ernest Geller Professor of Anthropology and Central Asian Studies, University of Wisconsin-Madison
     Fellow of the British Academy, Corresponding Member of the UNESCO International Institute for the Study of Nomadic Civilizations. Author, co-author, and editor of 17 volumes and more than 200 articles. Among his monographs are Essay on the History of Sarmatian Military Art (Moscow, 1971; second revised edition St. Petersburg, 2007; in Russian); The Social History of Scythians (Moscow, 1975; in Russian), and Nomads and the Outside World (Cambridge, 1984; second revised edition Madison, 1994).
